Every day with Olivia was a celebration.
To see her smile and blow kisses and lift her hands to signal "up" brightened every room she graced.

Thanks to the support and help of Ranken Jordan, we took Olivia home three days before her first birthday.

We were negotiating this magical summer where we could get to know each other. We received much more. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, her brother Jimmy's fifth birthday. Because of Ranken Jordan, our family had a whole year of holidays together. During that year, Olivia got to watch cartoons with Jimmy on Saturdays and sleep on pink fuzzy sheets with butterflies hanging above her.

And so it is with special honor that I tell you about Olivia's Gift on what would have been her third birthday.

 Olivia's Gift was established to help support families like ours, Ranken Jordan families for whom a little bit extra makes all the difference. A ramp. A piece of equipment. A nurse in the home for a few hours. A voucher for gas and lodging to allow parents to be near their children while they are at Ranken Jordan and learn the skills they need to be successful at home. These things make an enormous difference to the health of a child and the wholeness of a family. And with your help, Olivia's Gift will provide for the needs of Ranken Jordan's kids.
